On the way from the car to the house where I'm staying, I shamefully dropped my car key somewhere outside in the snow last week. I realized that I didn't have it too late to really look for it (I had to leave town for an interview) and while I was gone it snowed about 6 more inches. Now I have to shovel the whole darn yard to look for it or else wait until March when the snow (might) melt.

So I'm on this fellowship, right, and the sole condition is that I must meet with the other fellows during this term to read some things together -- research on mentoring and pedagogy and things like that. Not only am I planning to do NO reading, but I'm plotting my way out of some of the meetings as well. Whatever. I have to limit my time somehow.
